When I visited the area for a reunion last month, a pair of booties in this shop's window caught my eye. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the store's name and saw Rhea Nichols - the shop where my mother had taken me for my first pair of little heels when I was 12 years old - many, many years ago! It is still owned by the same family, has a fabulous selection of shoes for women of all ages and all tastes. Their dress shoes are to die for! (Pity I can't wear many of those styles any more.) I should know - I usually buy my shoes at Nordstrom. I received wonderful attention and service. They care about fitting you properly. I walked out with 5 pair of new shoes - and can't wait to get back to Long Island and this store again!
